Dr. Michelle Fraser
I am a family doctor who was born and raised in Peterborough and I'm so glad to be back home to practice medicine! I love our town, especially biking on the Trans-Canada Trail, swimming in the lovely lakes and rivers, and reading under
Before medicine, I studied International Development. I had the
opportunity to live and learn in several countries in sub-Saharan
Africa where I was challenged to think about our global economy and
political systems. I went to Medical School at the University of Western
Ontario and then completed my Family Medicine Residency and two months of
additional training in Obstetrics in Peterborough through Queen's University.
In addition to PIPC, I also work in Full-Scope family practice.
Since returning home, I've been inspired to join community movements focusing
on Indigenous-Settler justice and reconciliation, ending immigration detention,
and changing structures that cause poverty.
I look forward to meeting you!
